Mission

We are dedicated to providing transition related training opportunities along with helpful resources for families of individuals with disabilities to reference at their convenience.   Through our various programs, we strive to create an easier transition for individuals and their families as they continue their journey into adulthood. 

Our Focus

To guide families of individuals with disabilities and their communities by providing the resources and training needed to create a positive learning environment for those experiencing the transition to adulthood.

Community

It takes a team and  community to come together to form a supportive network. Building an effective team can help with many daily supports.  Once that stronger community network is formed, many goals can be achieved. 

What sessions offered by S.A.L.T.?


S.A.L.T - School to Adult Life Transition SeriesTM are FREE monthly sessions developed to provide valuable information, along with resources and guidance, to families of children or students with developmental disabilities to help navigate the transition from school to adult life and beyond.

 

SALT TALKS - An Online Transition Series provides the same basic information and resources as the original "SALT" Series noted previously, but are held on a virtual platform.


SALT TALKS - Lunch & Learn Series  are 60-minute virtual sessions held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month & created to focus discussions on transition related topics. It provides the same basic information and resources as the original "SALT" or Student Series noted previously but are held on a virtual platform. 


Students or Young Adults Series (Ages 14+) are fun interactive sessions created to provide opportunities for students or young adults (ages 14 – 22+) to meet monthly, socialize, & have fun while learning about transition related topics.  These topics are usually a mirror image of the monthly topics presented to the parents.


SALT TEENS - Student / Young Adult Transition Series - A fun, interactive and creative session geared to bring awareness about self-advocacy, independent living and other transition related topics to students or young adults with disabilities. These sessions are organized and facilitated by the local County Board or a by a third party guest / organization. These sessions use the the same basic format as the original student session listed above.  Currently, the SALT TEENS are being offered in-person during our scheduled "Hybrid" sessions only. 


These trainings are brought to you in collaborations with Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities,

Montgomery/Greene/Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Local Leaders,  

and SALT Resource Solutions LLC
